TikTok has conquered the new trend of losing weight. The "magical" Oatzempic drink

TikTok has conquered the new weight loss trend. Oatzempic's "Magic" drink (a play on words similar to the name of Ozempic, a diabetes drug used by many celebrities to lose weight) that claims to help you lose almost 20 kg in two months. Its advantage is availability and cheapness. All you need is oatmeal.

"You'll lose 18kg in two months with Oatzempic," exclaimed TikToker Renitan while making the concoction. "Do I think it's possible?" Yes,” she said, starting her weight loss journey using shakes as a tool and weighing in at 76kg. She claims to have lost 2kg in five days since then. "I feel very good," wrote Renita in the caption of her post. "The energy level is high, the mood is great." Oatzempic is a delicious blend of instant oats, water and fresh lime juice.

It is believed that drinking this drink every day for about 8 weeks will help you lose several sizes. But internist and pediatrician Tommy Martin of Massachusetts told The Post that oat lovers shouldn't get their hopes up too high. "Oatzempic is like a trend that makes people eat very healthy and nutritious breakfasts in a fun way," Martin, 32, said of oats.

He noted that oats have many metabolic effects, including lowering cholesterol, inflammation and blood pressure. But he cautioned that drinking the drink won't lead to dramatic weight loss after a few weeks. "Unless you switch from a very high-calorie breakfast to this oat drink, you will only see some weight loss, but 18 kg."

However, Martin noted that a low-calorie breakfast of oats can create a calorie deficit by encouraging the body to burn fat quickly. At the same time, Martin warns that this drink is not a magic remedy or a substitute for injections for weight loss. "Oatzempic cannot be compared to Ozempic," he said.

“Oats are simply a healthy food that can help you create a calorie deficit. Ozempic has multiple mechanisms of action that help people lose weight and live healthier lives.” For optimal results, Martin advises dieters to replace processed foods with fruits and vegetables, get 7 to 9 hours of sleep each night, and do strength and cardio exercises several times a week.
