Tigran Avinyan will not participate in the opening ceremony of the Mother Cathedral
The Mother See will be consecrated on September 28-29. The Mother Cathedral, which has been under renovation since 2012, will finally start welcoming the faithful, although some parts will remain closed. An invitation has been sent to Nikol Pashinyan, Vahagn Khachaturyan, Alen Simonyan, NA Deputy Speakers, as well as Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan to participate in the events that will be held during the long-awaited day for the faithful.
Thus, we have already written that Nikol Pashinyan will not participate in the Myronorhnek ceremony. Although there was no official response from him, sources close to him assure that he will not participate. NA Speaker Alen Simonyan will not be present at the re-consecration of the Mother Cathedral either, as he will be in Canada on an official visit during those days. Yesterday, in a conversation with journalists, he mentioned that if he were in Armenia, he would participate in the opening of the Mother Cathedral. As for the so-called RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan, it has been a week since it has been impossible to contact his press spokesperson. Although it is as clear as "1+1=2" that if Pashinyan doesn't go, he won't go either.
As for Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, he will not be in the country on those days and will not participate in the re-consecration ceremony of the Mother Cathedral. MediaHub was informed by the municipality that he will be abroad on a working visit. We will announce where and for what purpose he is going later, when the agenda will be clarified.
