The employees of "Fly Arena" are raising the alarm that they have not received the promised salary
The employees of the Armenian "Fly Arna" airline company ("National Airlines of Armenia" CJSC) are alarming that after March of this year, when they were notified about the suspension of the company's operations, they did not receive salaries, although they promised in accordance with the law for the next 2 to pay salary and severance pay for the month.
An employee of the company, who, like his other colleagues, prefers to remain anonymous, told "Hetk" that on March 19 of this year, the company's e-mail The employees received e-mails from the post office stating that the company is suspending its activities, and the employment contract between the company and the employees, which was signed before, is terminated from the specified date.
"The notice refers to the RA Labor Code, according to which we must be paid for the month of May 19, as well as receive severance pay. However, we were paid only for March. After that, we learned that Air Arabia, the owner of 49% of the company, gave up management, after which the problem of organizing the payment of salaries arose, because there is no director who will sign under it," says one of the employees.
"Fly Arena" is one of the joint Armenian-Arab business programs.
49% of "National Airlines of Armenia" CJSC is state owned. It belongs to the "State Interests Fund of Armenia", better known as ANIF. Remarkable developments are taking place around the fund these days.
The other 49% belongs to the Arab "International Business Company (FZE)" LLC, which is affiliated with "Air Arabia" airline company. The organization managing "Fly Arena" is "Air Arabia" OJSC.
The remaining 2% of the shares belong to RA citizen Varuzhan Nergizyan, a businessman born in Aleppo. Information about the owners of "Fly Arena" is published in the state register, in the charter of the company.
However, as it became known, the owner of "Fly Arena" "State Interests Fund of Armenia", ANIF, stops its activities, and works related to the liquidation process of the company are currently underway.
According to one of the provisions included in the agenda of today's session of the government on May 23, the management authority of the "State Interests Fund of Armenia" CJSC is transferred to the state property management committee of the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.
It was also known earlier that ANIF was involved in corruption transactions.
