"Hraparak" newspaper writes: "On Thursday, Nikol Pashinyan changed the discussion agenda at the session of the CP Initiative Group, which he chaired, to the surprise of the party members. It was previously agreed to discuss health issues, but at the beginning of the session, Pashinyan proposed to discuss Armenia's foreign policy vision: Europe, Russia or regional developments in the format of "Russia-Iran-Georgia-Turkey-Azerbaijan-Armenia". And he did not give a valid explanation why they are deviating from the agenda. Many have started making assumptions, discussing hypotheses.
Yesterday, the pro-Westerners and the Soros supporters, who occupied the NA podium, demanded from the authorities to put the EU membership issue to a referendum. CP members have doubts that Pashinyan, by resuming these closed discussions on foreign policy orientation, is trying to reactivate the theses that Armenia should not hurry in the matter of EU membership.
But, in the end, fulfilling the demand of the pro-Westerners, it will be justified that it is not the government that is breaking away from Russia, but the decision to throw itself into the arms of the West was made by the Armenian people through a referendum.
And in the previous session, about 90 percent of CP members claimed that they envision Armenia's development in a regional format, and there is no need to hurry in submitting an application for EU membership. A few people only spoke in favor: Vahagn Aleksanyan, Hayk Konjoryan, Hripsime Grigoryan, whose husband is the general secretary of the RA Foreign Ministry. Pashinyan himself remained silent, he did not express an opinion."
