My children are currently deprived of their father, but at least I am in prison, not in a cemetery, like many others as a result of the war. Ashotyan
Armen Ashotyan stated during the court session that he never considers his struggle and even his arrest personal.
"My struggle is not personal at all, therefore, I do not consider the arrest that followed it personal either. These 400 days that I am in detention are not the days of my personal detention, but the days of the loss of Artsakh, the depopulation of Artsakh, the surrender of 4 villages of Tavush. The country lives with other important phenomena. With all the hardships, my family's and my personal stories really pale in comparison to what has happened and is happening in our country.
At least I am sitting in an Armenian prison, the leadership of Artsakh is Azeri. my story fades to them.
At the moment, my children are deprived of their father, but at least I am in prison, not in a cemetery, like many others as a result of the war. I am cut off from home, but, thank God, no one else lives there. No matter how difficult it is for me and my family, all of this pales in comparison to hundreds of thousands of my compatriots who have tragic problems," Ashotyan said.
