"I am not like you, I am one of you." Autism Awareness Day was celebrated in "My Path" center. Anna Hakobyan was present
On April 2, the World Autism Awareness Day, Anna Hakobyan, the RA Prime Minister's wife, attended the exhibition-sale and concert entitled "I'm not like you, I'm one of you".
The event was also attended by the minister of KGSMS Zhanna Andreasyan, deputy minister Araxia Svajyan, deputy minister of ASR Tatevik Stepanyan, deputy mayor of Yerevan Sargis Madatyan.
The event was organized by the "My Path" Social-Habilitation, Educational and Vocational Training Day Center of the National Autism Foundation. It is an institution that provides educational, rehabilitation, vocational training and employment for children, adolescents and adults diagnosed with "autism" and other developmental disorders. It has been operating since 2012. The center has 200 beneficiaries who are provided with behavioral, speech, music, dance and art therapies, psychological and psychiatric services.
From pop music to jazz and blues, Armenian and foreign songs. the students of the center surprised the guests with their musical abilities, sang and played for the audience.
An exhibition-sale was held at the end of the event. The works of the students of the center were presented. The collected money will be used to cover the travel expenses of two brothers from Artsakh to reach the "My Way" center from the region.
