An AB neural network is presented, which learns independently and can completely replace the programmer

The American company Cognition presented the Devin project, a neural network operating with artificial intelligence (AI), which is able to independently carry out the full cycle of software development. It is not a simple AI-based assistant when it comes to writing code, but a full-fledged software engineer who can perform assigned tasks like a human.

Devin, capable of reasoning, independently designs and implements software projects, making thousands of decisions along the way. His AB learns, corrects errors, and navigates context.

Cognition has equipped Devin with the tools developers need to seamlessly integrate into existing workflows. The company listed the main features of the neural network:

  • Adaptation to new technologies . Devin quickly masters unfamiliar tools just by reading the documentation.

  • Complex development of applications . AB builds and deploys full-featured web applications, adding new features based on user feedback.

  • Self-detection of errors . Devin finds and fixes issues in the code, acting as a full contributor to the projects.

  • AB training : A neural network installs and adjusts large language models based on instructions from research databases
