A deacon was detained during civil disobedience
A deacon was detained during civil disobedience.
Lawyer Sergey Harutyunyan confirmed this observation on his Facebook page and wrote:
"Seeing the concerns on social networks, I would like to inform you that the deacon is in the police department of the center, I met him personally, he will be free until 16:00," he wrote. It should be noted that citizens have been blocking streets in different parts of Yerevan since this morning. A large number of police officers, including red berets, were deployed on patrols in the streets of the capital. In all sectors, they detain citizens who are carrying out peaceful actions of disobedience, including with patrol cars.
Let's remind that peaceful disobedience actions were started in Yerevan today at the call of Bagrat Srbazan. Citizens closed the Victory Bridge from 11 o'clock. Tbilisi highway was also closed at the intersection of "Yeraz" park, the section in front of the "Sasuntsi Davit" station, in Nor Nork - the section in front of the statue of Gai.
Let's remind that at the rally started on the Republic square on May 10, the leader of the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement, Bagrat Srbazan, announced that actions of peaceful disobedience will be carried out in 10 places in Armenia, in Yerevan and regions.
